The Community Arts Council of Richmond is pleased to announce that despite the heat and the date change, our 4th annual Exhibition was a great success.
City of Richmond mayor Malcolm Brodie opened the show. He expressed how valuable this exhibition is to the arts scene in Richmond. At least 100 people attended the reception and viewed over 55 works of art and photography.
They listened to the “In Performance” string trio, drank punch, ate cake and talked with the artists in attendance. Everyone was encouraged to vote for their favourite painting and photograph.
On Sunday at 3:00 the awards were announced with the help of city Councilor Bill McNulty and Linda Shirley, director of the CACR and owner of the Art’s Connection.
Here are the results: People’s Choice award for Art went to Joselito
Macapagal and Joci Sirak for Photography. The adjudicators choice for first and second in each category were – Art - Second Place Art went to Michael Shirley
